When you sign up to SmartHealth you get access to HealthTap, an online platform and mobile app that connects you with free healthcare services using your smart phone, tablet device or computer.
HealthTap has a huge knowledge base of doctor-approved health information on conditions, symptoms, treatments and research.
Secure, private and convenient, you can use the app to look up health information any time, getting you the answers you need from wherever you are.
How to find doctor-approved health information
You need to sign up with SmartHealth and activate your account before you can access doctor-approved health information using HealthTap. Find out more about getting started with SmartHealth.
- Open the HealthTap app (smart phone or tablet) or go to http://smarthealth.healthtap.co.nz (external link) in a web browser.
- Log in using your personal email address and SmartHealth password.
- Click on the Search button on the menu bar.
- Type in a search term, or choose a topic from the lists of conditions and other information.
- Click the Follow button to add information to your topics list.
- Click Topics in the left hand menu to view topics you are following.
SmartHealth is available to everyone covered by Waikato DHB services.
