In mid-2017 we met with focus groups and communities to gather thoughts ideas about what we should focus on in our Suicide Prevention and Postvention Action Plan for 2018-2021. We also held interviews with key people in the area and ran some surveys.
Our aim is to truly reflect the ideas, issues and challenges from the people and groups that we met with, and to clearly show how we intend to address them.
This is your opportunity to let us know if we have done this.
Did we hear what you said and are we clear about what we are going to do about it?
Please review the documents:
- DRAFT Waikato DHB Suicide Prevention and Postvention Plan
- DRAFT Waikato DHB Suicide Prevention and Postvention Plan Refresh Engagement Report
Please be specific in your feedback:
- Yes - generally we have heard what you said and the actions are clear
- Yes - generally we have heard what you said but the actions are unclear (please specify which ones and how they are unclear)
- No – the plan does not reflect what we said, neither are the actions clear. (Name the page number, specific section and suggested wording/rewording)
- Anything else you wish to add about the Draft Suicide Prevention and Postvention Action Plan 2018-2021
Feedback on the draft Action Plan should be sent to suicideprevention@waikatodhb.health.nz by 10 November 2017

We want to take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for making the time to meet with us; sharing your thoughts, and in some cases your close personal experiences, and/or for filling out our surveys.
This is everyones plan and we look forward to working with you all.
