The Community and Public Health Advisory Committee advises the Board about the health needs of the Waikato population and the priorities and funding required to address those needs.
Aims:
- advise the Board on the needs of Waikato DHB’s resident population and any factors the committee believes may adversely affect the health status of that population
- advise the Board on spending priorities
- advise the Board on health services it has funded or provided, or could fund or provide, to improve the overall health of the Waikato population
- advise the Board on policies it has adopted, or could adopt.
The advice must reflect the aims and objectives of the New Zealand Health Strategy.
