Pharmacy on Meade
Pharmacy on Meade, our on-site community pharmacy at Waikato Hospital, is a convenient option for patients, families and visitors to pick up prescribed medicines, to buy over-the-counter medications and health products, and to purchase gifts, baby products and personal care items. Pharmacy staff will provide advice and discuss your medications with you and answer your questions and concerns. Please contact us if you have any questions about obtaining your prescription or have any trouble sourcing a medicine or pharmacy product.
Pharmacy on Meade provides:

Obtaining your prescription from Pharmacy on Meade
The prescription service at Pharmacy on Meade is available to patients, visitors and staff and also to the local residential community.
Prescriptions can be brought in to Pharmacy on Meade which is conveniently located on Level 1 of the Meade Clinical Centre. Alternatively, prescriptions can be faxed ahead of time for dispensing. Please refer to ‘location and opening hours’ for contact details and hours of operation.

- Stamped letters can be posted at the postbox outside the Hague Road Carpark Building (Level B5).
- Patients can send stamped mail through the internal hospital mail service.
Music players, radios, Playstations
You can bring your own but any use must take into account of the needs of other patients for a quiet environment. Headphones must be used. Radios must be battery operated.

There's free public wifi available throughout the Meade Clinical Centre. When you turn on your wifi on your mobile device select Public_WiFi from the list of options. You will be able to browse the internet or access your emails.

Due to the change from analogue to digital television service, the hospital cannot offer television reception in most of its wards at this stage.
A new digital service is available in the Older Persons and Rehabilitation Building.
Clinic waiting rooms have an internal channel playing a rotating list of short video items on health, environment and other topics.
